9/10/2023 0 Comments Halo waypoint flight![]() ![]() Its not working.ģ43 to me is a studio that i feel is lacking in vision. Now you have 343, with a whole bunch of industry people who only saw each other at gaming events, suddenly theyre crammed together in one studio, they all have a different vision of how they see halo and what made halo great for them and they all want to incorporate everything for everyone. It wasnt always perfect, but it was always consistent. They were a well oiled machine, with one vision. Bungie had the luxury of being a developer that was together for a long time and they all knew each other very well over there. I think that 343 are a developer with too many different visions and no real visionary. Looking forward to reading the rest of this. ![]() Whether it be the interviews for Halo 3 or emotional moments, perfect combos of cinematography and music in Reach, there is more to this series than the last few games let on (disclaimer: I only played 4, not 5). The oodles of lore and emotive marketing and games like Reach specifically show to me a type of Halo that rises above just being a groundbreaking shooter: it has heart, and it has a soul that I haven't seen in a ton of other games. This paragraph sums up why I've loved Halo for so long, as a writer and a gamer. That theres an emotional core entombed somewhere under the stratum of dropped bullet casings and alien corpses is no secret among many the series many architects." Instead, as former Microsoft Games Studio head Ed Fries puts it, the games at their best are vista momentsevocative and hard to pin down, and maybe best encapsulated by the camera slowly tracking out above the bluffs in Halo 3s debut trailer, Master Chief diminishing in the weight of the moment. "Halo may have spawned a legion of fans on the back of its legendary shooting, but across a number of interviews I did with Bungie vets, I was told it isnt how they see the series core. Making my way through now, love this quote: Yeah, that team consists of one person that re-alligned the playlists ONCE in the Halo MCC. Once Halo 5 came out, they did nothing for Halo: MCC, eventhough they said "we will have a dedicated MCC team even after Halo 5 releases". Halo: MCC and Halo 5 have the same pattern. ![]() People told us that both games will receive consolidation patches and playlist updates, so that people can still enjoy these games when Halo 4 comes out, but literally nothing happened after Halo 4 came out. It's literally the same shit as Halo 3 and Halo Reach. I mean, Frankie essentially told us that.Īnd about Halo: MCC post launch support. This is probably all still Microsoft shenanigans, because they are not allowing people to speak about it. But no, these people were called paranoid idiots, because the "game is still in alpha" a few weeks before launch. Getting everyone into the same match was even a struggle for them. People were pointing out how afraid they are that the game won't work, because of stuff like having to restart the game/build after every single match at every single preview event. THE flagship franchise of Microsoft and they didn't test it with the propper tools? Seems about right. I'll just never believe 343i that they didn't test the MCC in the retail environment and that they were actually suprised about the issues it had when it launched. ![]()
